20/08/2008 | We are holding a general meeting on September 1 at 7.00pm at the Albion Hotel. Any interested persons are asked to come to the meeting. The summer competition will once again be a mixed competition with a fee of $20 per person which entitles you to play all season and gives you insurance if there is an accident while playing touch.
20/08/2008 | MEN'S BOWLS ZONE 5 ’12 A SIDE’ FINAL SERIES Last weekend Steve Galvin and Graeme Hunter travelled to Penrith as part of the Lachlan Valley District 12 a side competition. For the uninitiated this is a district selected side to play against all the other districts in the zone – similar to Pennants.

20/08/2008 | UNDER 11'S SAVE BEST TILL LAST The Grenfell Under 11s saved their best for last when they took on West Wyalong and Griffith at Lawson Park on Sunday. The team of Will Brown, Will Peterson, Becky Eastaway, Dominic Fowler, Finlay Johnson, Henry Hunt, David Parsons, Corey Lock and Angus Wickham posed for team photos before taking on West Wyalong in the first game. Becky opened the scoring with a try for Grenfell and this was quickly followed by a try to Will B.
Porcelain painters descend on Grenfell
20/08/2008 | Last Friday Porcelain Painters from a wide area attended a workshop day at the Grenfell Country Club. There were twenty-one painters from Bathurst, Orange, Young, Wyalong, Dubbo, Parkes and Grenfell who worked with three tutors from Bathurst, Young and Grenfell.
Small School's snow trip
20/08/2008 | On Monday morning 4th August at 5-30am, students and teachers from The Young Small Schools departed Young. The schools combined for a Snow Trip to Mt Selwyn. This trip was a chance of a lifetime for some of the students who had never seen snow before.

15/08/2008 | Four ladies venture to West Wyalong Well the weather over the past week kept everyone indoors this weekend. Not one sole braved the cold wet and miserable conditions to play in the weekend competitions.
15/08/2008 | CJ ANDERSON UNDER 7’S The team to take on Red Bend were Lachlan Stevens, Matthew Ryan, Ethan Reid, Kyle Mawhinney and Jai Purdie. Both teams consisted of only five players each which made it a very open field, which showed with both teams making ground.
15/08/2008 | This Sunday, August 17 at Lawson Oval, the Grenfell Junior Rugby Union will host Griffith and Wyalong in the last round of the Southern Inland Competition. The day will commence at 10am and there will be plenty of rugby to view. Entry is free.
15/08/2008 | FSMCS Shield match this Sunday The final round of the men’s No 2 winter night tennis competition was played on Tuesday and after the final sets were played, Stuart McKellar and Paul Tognetti emerged the winners of their respective grade.
Panthers pounce into the semi finals
15/08/2008 | Last Saturday saw the Panthers take out a hard fought win against Wagga Ag by 19-12. The game was action packed with lots of free flowing rugby, a bit of push and shove and some heavy rain and hail which all made for an entertaining afternoon. The game began with Grenfell kicking off deep into Aggies’s half.
15/08/2008 | City to Surf Grenfell was well represented in the annual Sydney City to Surf held last weekend. Old campaigner, Peter Moffitt lined up for his twelfth, along with his wife, Mary, daughter Emily, granddaughter, Isabel and son-in-law Brian.
15/08/2008 | The monthly meeting of our club was held on Tuesday, 5th August in the warmth and comfort of the Bowling Club meeting room with Vice-President George Walker in the chair and nineteen members present.
